The shoe also doesn’t change the shape of your foot, nor dictate the way it moves. By utilising overlapping scales, the shoe can deliver cushioning and protection without becoming inflexible. In fact, the sole is so flexible that it takes on the individual shape of your foot and moves with it, functioning as a second skin.

Introducing the Barefoot on Grass!

The Barefoot on Grass philosophy is to protect your foot whilst still allowing your body to respond as if you were running in bare feet. For this to occur, your foot can’t be blindfolded by the shoe! Your foot needs to be able to detect exactly where it is in contact with the ground and be allowed to change your next foot strike in a way that best suits you!

The unique feature of the Barefoot on Grass is its sole. It is made up of more than 70 overlapping ‘scales’. As the scales are independently mobile, each scale can exert a different pressure on your foot, giving it the precisely localised information it needs.
